The problem
In the early 1990s, our founder was a production engineer on a line manufacturing several product variations, with well over a hundred possible setting combinations between them. Every changeover meant an operator working from memory or a paper runsheet to reset dozens of settings across the line — slow, inconsistent, and entirely dependent on who happened to be on shift that day. A manual matrix mapping every setting against every product helped, but it was still a slow, error-prone way to run a changeover.
The build
The real breakthrough came from a purpose-built piece of software: a system designed specifically around that production line's own structure — production line, equipment, adjustment, setting, per product — that told an operator exactly what to change and to what value for any changeover. Changeover time dropped from around 12 hours down to 2.5–3 hours.

Where it is now
Masc Changeovers has been built and validated end-to-end against a real production line's data, and is moving toward general release — for any manufacturing operation in Australia looking to replace paper runsheets and tribal knowledge with a repeatable, auditable changeover process.
